斯蒂芬妮 林

Dr. 斯蒂芬妮 林 is a vascular surgeon, a specialist in operating on the circulatory system. Her experience includes caring for patients with aneurysms (bulges in blood vessels) and arterial occlusive disease (in which vessel narrowing reduces blood flow) and performing hemodialysis access procedures (techniques to prepare a blood vessel to be the insertion point for dialysis) and embolotherapy (methods of blocking blood flow in a vessel to prevent hemorrhage). She is also committed to functional limb restoration (using reconstructive techniques to optimize outcomes in cases of damaged or poorly healed tissues), including for patients who have undergone amputation.

Using treatments based on research and experience, 林 tailors plans to achieve maximal, durable results for each patient. She is dedicated to educating her patients so they can participate comfortably in their own health care. In the practice of medicine and surgery, the cornerstones of her philosophy are collaboration, 真诚, preparation and precision.

林 earned her undergraduate and medical degrees at Stanford University. She completed a residency in general surgery at UCSF and a fellowship in vascular surgery at New York – Presbyterian Hospital, part of Weill Cornell Medicine and Columbia University. Prior to joining UCSF, she performed vascular surgery in community and county hospitals on the San Francisco Peninsula. Her experience includes quality assurance review and serving on committees on patient safety and quality care, physician wellness, and value management of supplies and equipment.

林 has an interest in global health and health care equity for patients who are underserved or vulnerable; specifically, she is interested in the allocation of resources, 护理访问, and safe delivery of care. 自2008年以来, she has participated in medical missions overseas, including to the Philippines, 危地马拉, 秘鲁和乌干达. She is a fellow of the Society for Vascular Surgery and American College of Surgeons as well as a member of the Western Vascular Society.
