About me

Dr. Russell Dedini is an orthopedic surgeon who cares for patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal problems, including sports and overuse injuries, arthritis of the upper and lower extremities, and routine hand conditions. He also cares for both adults and children with extremity injuries. He specializes in foot and ankle problems (including traumatic injuries), deformities of the forefoot and hindfoot, and arthritis. He also has extensive experience in managing foot complications from diabetes, such as plantar ulcers (open wounds on the sole of the foot), soft tissue and bone infections, and neurogenic arthritis and associated deformities; in caring for patients with these problems, his goals include salvaging limbs and maintaining quality of life.

Dedini earned his medical degree at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine. He completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at UCSF, followed by a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at the University of Pennsylvania.

Outside of work, Dedini enjoys cycling, attending his kid's soccer games, playing music, brewing kombucha and doing finish carpentry.
